Which route you are on depends on your current citizenship, your family and how long you have lived in Finland — and each route carries its own set of the requirements above.
Up to 365 days abroad count across your required period, at most 90 of them in the year before you apply. Days over do not fail you, they push your eligible date back one day for one. Verify with Migri.

Kansalaisuuskoe is Finland's citizenship test. It does not exist yet: the amended Citizenship Act takes effect on 1 January 2027, and the test is required for applications submitted on or after 1 March 2027.
